Dr. George Simmons is the founding owner of North Florida Animal Hospital.  A graduate of both UGA for undergrad and AU for his doctorate, he remains a dedicated and participatory alumni of UGA and a proud bulldog.

     Dr. George and his wife Lindi have 3 sons born and raised in Tally and love spending time here, on the coast or traveling with them almost anywhere.  Their oldest followed in the medical field just on the human side as an M.D., middle child is a passionate novice chef while the youngest is learning the ropes of the family business stared by his great grandfather.  They have many pets from labradors, one named “Kat”, to lovable working bird dogs and always a cat or two.

     Dr George has dedicated his veterinary & business expertise to this hospital for over 30 years as well as a being a proven leader for many other veterinary endeavors in the area. He has been a board member, advisor, or owner for many charitable organizations and businesses outside of veterinary medicine as well. 

     Dr. George is a natural at teaching our staff and DVM associates.  His passion and expertise for preventative medicine and all things surgery, especially orthopedic, is of the very best in our community.
